Traveling in Utah – Beauties to Explore in the Beehive State
Utah is the 13th largest state in the nation, but size alone could not explain why traveling in Utah is so amazing – it is actually the natural riches and beauties of the Beehive State, the geographical variety of the area that make even the shortest hiking trip unforgettable. Here are a few places that you must definitely see, should you decide to spend time traveling in Utah:
- The National Parks – the state has five national parks, named Bryce, Zion, Capitol Reef, Arches and Canyonlands, each of them with breathtaking sceneries, with unique rock formations and plants and amazing state parks;
- The Escalante National Monument – stretching on almost 2 million acres of land from the town of Big Water and up to Boulder in the east, the scenery in the area combines arches, hill, canyons and forests;
- The Great Salt Lake – one of the largest inland lakes in the country and a body of water that is eight times as salty as the ocean, the Great Salt Lake is definitely a Utah must-see;
- The Trembling Giant – a forest of quaking aspens just off Fish Lake, on the Wasatch Plateau, that move as if they formed a single, homogenous organism, the place is a must see.
